The Restaurant

At the heart of earthen-walled Amanjena lies a courtyard restaurant that celebrates the diversity of Moroccan cuisine, blending Berber, Andalusian and Mediterranean influences that have evolved through the ages. With caramel-coloured walls and candle-lit tables, the Restaurant evokes the atmosphere of the Medina in an authentic homespun setting, enlivened by local musicians, who set the soundtrack to evening meals beside the central fountain.

The menu includes delicately spiced tajines, decorated with almonds, prunes and apricots, alongside other Moroccan dishes, such as briouate puff pastries and slow-cooked mechoui lamb. Additionally, indulge in a richly seasonal menu of hearty Italian plates, lovingly crafted by Italian Chef, Francesco Balloo, offering an array of choices to suit every palate.

Souk-inspired flavours

In Marrakech’s Medina, saffron, ginger, and turmeric embody culinary traditions from the Atlas Mountains to the Sahara and the Berber community. At The Restaurant, rich strands weave into clay-cooked couscous and aromatic tajines, capturing the Red City's rounded flavors with fragrant notes of cardamom, cinnamon, and cumin each night.

Music, the food of love

Trio Andalou, a local ensemble of musicians dressed in white and crowned in crimson-coloured fez, entertain beside the low glow of flickering lantern light with an oud guitar, derbouka hand drum and traditional violin, blending the culinary with the cultural as stars stud the sky.
