This Valentine’s Day, Aman Kyoto invites guests to show they care with our set of decadent chocolates. The perfect gift for a loved one – or treat for oneself – the elegant chocolates are flavoured with six unique fillings, created by Executive Pastry Chef Matsuo.
Tamba Chestnut: A flavour that carefully balances the finest Tamba chestnuts – renowned for their quality – with a rich chestnut ganache, enclosed in French milk chocolate.
Apricot and Japanese Black Tea: Encased in 55% dark chocolate, and delicately incorporating Japanese ingredients such as black tea from Minami-yamashiro, and apricot jam, for a balanced yet mature flavour.
Matcha and Yuzu: A two-layer creation that blends the refined sharpness of Uji Green Tea with the vibrant flavour of yuzu sourced from nearby Mizuo, Kyoto.
Mandarin Orange and Sansho Pepper: A sophisticated flavour profile enveloping ganache made with Sansho pepper from Chobunya in Kyoto's Kita Ward and a jam of fresh mandarin oranges, all encased in 55% dark chocolate.
Kamigamo Strawberry: Filled with Kamigamo-produced strawberry ganache, Kamigamo basil and Kamigamo strawberry jam, this vibrant filling is nestled within strawberry chocolate for a burst of fruit flavour.
Joyo Fig and Tamba Wine: A delicate Kyoto-grown Joyo fig jam and ganache are infused with Tamba red wine before being wrapped in 55% dark chocolate to create a perfectly balanced treat.
