Now until 31 March 2026

The ultimate introduction to Bhutan, this three-to-four-night journey offers an enlightening all-round experience of the Buddhist Kingdom’s cultural and natural attractions. Based at Paro Lodge, explore Paro Valley by bike, visit the 17th-century Drukyel Dzong and Kyichi Lhakhang temple, and stroll through charming Paro town. Begin the day with open-air yoga, savour authentic farm-to-table dining and hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery.

Your Journey

Day 1 (Paro)

Upon arrival at Paro Lodge, settle in before uncovering Bhutan’s rural life with a leisurely bike ride through tranquil villages and across scenic farmland.

Once in town, set off on foot to explore the rows of traditional farmhouses that now house cafes, art galleries, artist studios and shops filled with curiosities. Pause to savour a freshly brewed beer and momos  (local dumplings) before returning to the lodge by bike or car. Dinner awaits in the Dining Room.

Day 2 (Paro)

Start the day with yoga before embarking on a Paro Cultural Tour. This begins at the National  Museum housed within the imposing Rinpung  Dzong – the ‘Fortress of the heap of jewels’ – followed by a visit to the  15th-century Jangtsa  Dumtseg  Lhakhang, a stupa-shaped temple renowned for its paintings showing Tantric Buddhist  philosophy.

Lunch can be enjoyed in a pine forest overlooking the historic Drukgyel Dzong before a visit to Kyichu Lhakang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples. Back at the lodge, try archery or learn the art of prayer flag printing, then join a fascinating talk on  Gross National Happiness.

Day 3- 4 (Paro)

Day three brings the four-to-five-hour hike from Paro Lodge to Tiger's Nest, a legendary clifftop monastery that rewards hikers with life-affirming views. After which, return to the lodge for a well-deserved Amankora Holistic Massage.

The next morning, bid farewell to Bhutan with a 30-minute drive to Paro International Airport (PBH).
