The first of its kind, Amanwana’s Underwater Wellness Retreat harnesses the natural healing powers of the underwater world that surrounds Moyo Island. The multi-day itinerary, hosted by visiting practitioners, features a programme filled with adventures both above and below the waves, including underwater meditation, freediving, a sea life experience and the opportunity to swim with Whale sharks.
Allowing ample time to explore the depths and embrace the transformative power of the ocean, this six-night, underwater journey has an itinerary brimming with daily activities inclusive of daily breathwork sessions, underwater photography and videography workshops, swimming with Whale sharks and more.
Day 1
Attend a 7pm introduction to the course
Day 2
Awaken with a Dry Static Apnea breathwork session overlooking the water
Spend the morning taking part in a 45-minute Wet Static Apnea underwater meditation
Relax with an afternoon muscle ease treatment followed by a traditional Indonesian Mandi Rempah bath
Come together for meditation at dusk
Day 3
Take part in a morning breathwork session at Barry’s Falls
Spend the afternoon exploring Moyo Island’s underwater world with an instructor
Attend a 7pm interactive workshop on underwater photography
Day 4
Start the day with a Dry Static Apnea breathwork session overlooking the water
Embark on instructor-led underwater immersions inclusive of snorkelling equipment
Relieve tired muscles in the spa with a muscle ease treatment, followed by a traditional Indonesian Mandi Rempah bath
Discover underwater wildlife with a sea life experience at Turtle Street in Amanwana Bay
Gather for an authentic Bakela dinner with a surprise cultural performance
Day 5
Take part in a 6am sunrise breathwork session on the boat overlooking Mount Tambora
Relieve tired muscles in the spa with a muscle ease treatment, followed by a traditional Indonesian Mandi Rempah bath
Attend a 7pm interactive workshop on underwater videography
Day 6
Awaken with a Dry Static Apnea breathwork session overlooking the water
Take part in meditative freediving with an expert guide
Come together for sunset meditation
Reenergise after the day’s activities with a beach barbecue dinner
A shorter three-night itinerary has been designed to ensure a transformative underwater wellness journey, focused on refining breathwork to perfect the practise on meditating underwater. Each day, guests will enjoy activities on the water, alongside spa treatments and breathwork sessions, and traditional Indonesian Mandi Rempah baths to restore body, mind and soul.
