In a city famous for its exceptional restaurant scene, Aman Tokyo has become renowned for its unrivalled dining experiences, elaborate afternoon teas and creative seasonal menus. Taking the hotel's gastronomic prowess one step further, La Pâtisserie by Aman Tokyo now brings the expertise of Aman Tokyo’s Executive Pastry Chef, Yoshihisa Miyagawa and the French baking tradition to the bustling Otemachi District.
Chef Yoshihisa Miyagawa’s experience spans patisseries and pastry departments in some of the finest establishments in Japan’s capital. During his time with Aman, he has directed pastry operations in all three of Aman Tokyo’s restaurants, while firmly establishing the reputation of the hotel’s afternoon tea as one of the city’s most iconic. His vision for La Pâtisserie is a culmination of this experience – with a menu that celebrates the most precious ingredients, showcasing their exceptionality with elegant simplicity.
Located on the B2 floor of the Otemachi Tower, La Pâtisserie offers a selection of spectacular culinary creations, from homemade breads and traditional French pastries to intricately layered creations such as the Mille Feuille Framboise, Baba a l’Armagnac and Tarte Chocolat. Visitors will also be able to purchase whole cakes, ideal for special occasions, or enjoy a delicious lunch on-to-go with a menu of freshly prepared sandwiches and artisan coffee served daily. A range of gift items will also be available for purchase, including small baked pastries beautifully boxed in Japanese kōbako, Aman Tokyo jams and handmade chocolates.
La Pâtisserie’s home was visioned by talented interior designers at Tokyo-based agency, Bond Design Studio Inc. Using inspiration from Aman Tokyo above - designed by Kerry Hill Architects – La Pâtisserie’s multitude of textured surfaces in earthy, natural materials allow the exquisite cakes to take centre stage. Creating a theatre for customers and passers-by, a floor-to-ceiling glass-enclosed kitchen serves as a focal point, allowing customers to watch the chefs in the bakery, showcasing their culinary skills. Whether stopping en-route to the office for a hot cup of coffee, or meeting with a friend for an afternoon treat, La Pâtisserie offers a moment’s respite from the bustle of Otemachi.
