Bandet Pratip Festival

14 - 16 November 2024

Held on the night of the full moon in the Buddhist month of Kadeuk, Bandet Pratip is an annual tradition celebrating the reversal of the Tonle Sap River’s flow. This full moon is believed to bring good fortune and symbolises the promise of an abundant harvest. During the festival, locals gather to float candles, take part in river races and enjoy a spectacle of illuminated boats and fireworks reflecting on the water.
