Meanwhile a separate dining area is ideal for relaxed, private dinners, where Jiangnan style furnishings create a unique atmosphere.

Offering a little more space than Amanfayun’s Village Rooms, the resort’s Village Suites are light and airy at 88 square metres (947 square feet) in size. Beautifully furnished in traditional Jiangnan style, their use of wood, stone and tiles creates a contemporary atmosphere which doesn’t distract from the courtyard or forest views outside. Meanwhile, inviting daybeds and underfloor heating add a sense of warmth.

Village Villa

Hidden in the surrounding woodland of Amanfauyn, Village Villas offer 204 square metres (2,583 square feet) of refined living space overlooking the village below. Complete with private double-massage rooms, their expansive social spaces lead onto private or semi-private courtyards that fill the villa with light. Fine art calligraphy and rich wood panelling create a calming atmosphere – ideal for guests seeking consummate privacy, engulfed by nature.
